Logan Circle is a small and quiet neighborhood just east of Dupont Circle, and an easy walk to the city center. Named for the stately traffic circle at its center, the neighborhood has a rich history and is dotted with old mansions, many of which abut the traffic circle. 14th Street, which serves as the hub of neighborhood life, is well-known for its art galleries and theaters, which host eclectic shows and draw young audiences from throughout the city. Logan Circle underwent extensive redevelopment in the late 1990s, and new construction continues today, making the neighborhood’s condos and townhouses among the city’s newest. The neighborhood is bordered by S Street to the north, 9th Street to the east, 16th Street to the west, and Massachusetts Avenue to the south.
