Brookland is a charming neighborhood colored with so many beautiful churches, cathedrals, and basilicas that it's earned the nickname of "Little Rome." The neighborhood has much green space, thanks in large part to the sprawling Catholic University of America campus and the campus-like properties of the many church organizations. Further down Michigan Ave., you'll find a cozy neighborhood with many row houses, perfect for families, and within easy reach of downtown and the Maryland suburbs via the Metro Red Line. The neighborhood is bounded by 9th St. NE to the west, Rhode Island Ave. NE to the south, South Dakota Ave. to the east, and Michigan Ave. to the north.
